Resources

The Wright Fuel Cell Group is a dynamic organization composed of partnerships between academic institutions, businesses, and nonprofits. With this the Wright Fuel Cell Group provides a wide breath of resources to it's partners. These resources work to accelerate the rate of commercialization of fuel cell technology, via linking fuel cell research to industry and vice versa, communicating each partners capabilities and needs to the Wright Group so that information, equipment, and facilities can be better utilized, and by offering a fuel cell test facility for new technologies and products to be tested.

Research

Fuel cell technology has been the focus of many Ohioans attention and the amount of fuel cell research being done is a testament to that. Faculty, students, and staff of the Wright Group’s partners have research and modeling efforts underway that either focus on fuel cells or can be adapted to the use of fuel cells.

One of the many tools that the Wright Group provides is direct access to the people and places that are imperative to the commercialization of fuel cell technology in Ohio and the world.

Research Modeling

A state-wide linkage of modeling efforts in fuel cell components and processes to those in systems, controls, and fuel processing will provide multi-scale evaluation tools. A unique high-speed Ohio network called the “BrightWire” helps make this program possible.

The second phase of this project involves examining scenarios and providing feedback based on fully validated, customized modeling. This is not a one-size-fits-all solution, but the correct combination of tools and methods for our members’ needs, developed by experts in each category of modeling.
