Mirko Antloga
Technical Director and Business Liaison, Wright Fuel Cell Group
In August 2005, Mirko Antloga joined the Wright Fuel Cell Group as
the Technical Director responsible for the operation of the
Wright Fuel Cell Center Laboratory on Case Western Reserve University's West Quad campus and he is also the Business Liaison
acting as the interface between businesses and universities.
Mirko spent the first 18 years of a 30 year career with British Petroleum at their former Warrensville Research Center located in Cleveland in the analytical chemistry department developing on- line process analyzers for refineries and chemical plants, automated laboratory instrumentation and laboratory robotics. Mirko at BP was also part of a team that was responsible for the design, construction, operation and testing of two pre-pilot plant scale studies one of a selective Olefin recovery test unit and the other with BP’s proprietary Electropox gas reforming process. The next 12 years were spent working with Technology Management Inc, ZincAir Power Corp. and SOFCo-EFS in developing planar Solid Oxide Fuel Cells and Zinc Air batteries for distributive and mobile power applications. Responsibilities included the development and manufacturing of test stands for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells; design and construction of fuel cell and battery testing facilities; the development of instrumentation, controls and power conversion devices for Solid Oxide Fuel Systems, power management system for Zinc-Air charge/discharge cycles, 5Kwe bench scale CPOX reformer and a compact molecular sieve CO2 scrubber for the Zinc-Air battery.

Lyndy Rutkowski
Associate Director, Great Lakes Institute for Energy Innovation
In April 2005, Lyndy Rutkowski joined Wright Fuel Cell Group, leading its administration, finance and marketing. She facilitates collaborations between WFCG partners and stakeholders and also works with several local non-profits and governmental agencies to establish new programs for WFCG. Since Lyndy came on board in 2005 academic and industry collaborations have greatly increased at Case and throughout the state of Ohio, augmenting the world-renowned fuel cell research that Case is known for.
Lyndy has actively pursued a career in environmental non-profit work in the US and overseas. During her year abroad at the University of Western Australia she conducted research and feasibility studies for a proposed economic development program for the LandCare Department Committee, an agriculture program of the Western Australian government. Her senior year of undergraduate studies she worked alongside teachers, professors and government officials to develop a K-12 curriculum “Environment and Ecology” for the Pennsylvania Department of Education. She has taught Environmental Education at Wildland's Conservancy in Allentown, PA and at Nature’s Classroom in Brinkhaven, Ohio. After moving to Cleveland in 2002, she became the Program Coordinator for Cuyahoga Valley Countryside Conservancy (CVCC), a non-profit partner of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. While at CVCC she created partnerships and projects to support sustainable local food production and retail sales to improve the environment and health of the citizens and in Northeast Ohio, while in turn, creating economic benefits for the region.
Lyndy is deeply involved with community sustainability projects. In 2006 she was a "Sustainability in Action" Champion nominee by Entrepreneurs for Sustainability. In 2004 the George Gund Foundation chose Lyndy to be in the Rockwood Leadership Program, a nationally renowned leadership organization designed for leaders of social change and sustainability. She is actively involved with EarthDay Coalition, Entrepreneurs for Sustainability, Net Impact, and the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture, and is on steering committees for several projects in Northeast Ohio.
Lyndy holds a BA in Environmental Education from Muhlenberg College and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management.
